Clay Station Vineyard, Lodi
The old Borden Ranch in Lodi came with all the natural foundations of a great vineyard. Situated in the heart of a region known for bold red varieties on rising slopes 200-300 feet above Lodi’s farming valley, the family knew the land’s potential the minute they set foot on those granitic, cobblestoned soils in the 1990s.
They carefully transformed the ranch into a 1,300-acre vineyard now known as Clay Station. This exceptional vineyard is sustainably farmed based on the “Lodi Rules” and is certified by Protected Harvest, an environmental non-profit organization that endorses farmers’ use of stringent environmental farming standards.
