Decades before environmentalism was a whisper, Gaspare Indelicato and his sons lived sustainably every day. Farmers reused and repurposed to make it through tough times. Back then, eager customers came to the winery to refill their wine bottles. Decades later, composting became the forward-thinking family’s answer to fertilizers – something virtually unheard of in the U.S. wine industry when they adopted it as the new normal in the 1970s.
